Despite missing out on Benjamin Sesko this past summer, Arsenal is optimistic that they will be able to recruit the RB Leipzig attacker in the summer of 2025, as CaughtOffside has learned.

Though he chose to sign a new deal with Leipzig this summer, the fascinating young talent from Slovenia may finally make a move next year. Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United are just a few of the teams who have expressed interest in signing him.

According to sources who have a thorough awareness of the situation, Arsenal is still interested in Sesko and hopeful that they can convince him to play at the Emirates Stadium. In an effort to be ahead of their rivals, certain contacts have already been made in advance of next summer.

In the unlikely event that Arsenal is unable to sign the 21-year-old, it is also known that Marcus Thuram, an impressive forward for Inter Milan, is becoming more and more valued inside the north London team.

Next summer, Benjamin Sesko will be at Arsenal?

Thuram or Sesko to Arsenal?

Sesko is Arsenal’s top target since he would be the best choice both now and in the future. However, Thuram, who is currently 27 years old, might also be a good alternative, if only for a few years.

Though no contact has been made and it’s unclear if there’s a serious chance of him leaving the San Siro, the Frenchman has been in incredible form for Inter and it’s understood that he’s made Arsenal take note.

Additional Tales / Up-to-Date News

Even though Sesko legally signed a new deal that would have kept him in Leipzig until 2029, it’s likely that he won’t be planning to stay for too long, making Sesko the more practical choice.

Sesko or Thuram’s arrival would undoubtedly delight Arsenal supporters, who will also be irritated that a fresh striker could not have been signed for this campaign because it appears risky to depend solely on Gabriel Jesus as Kai Havertz’s backup.
