Martin Odegaard, the captain of Arsenal, represented Norway internationally in their Nations League match against Kazakhstan on Friday night.

Over the past few years, the Gunners ace has established himself as a vital member of both the club and the national team.

In fact, one could argue that Odegaard is almost too essential for Norway.

Despite his knock during the previous game against Brighton, the Arsenal star participated in the entire ninety minutes for his country.

After the match, the £30 million man might have “too much responsibility” for his international duty, according to Norwegian media NRK.

But the truth is that Odegaard performs well for both his club and his nation.

And even though Norway lost in Kazakhstan, the Arsenal player had a great day with some amazing numbers.

Odegaard received 107 touches of the ball and completed 71 passes, of which 63 found their intended recipient and four were crucial passes, according to Sofascore.

Along with seeing three shots blocked, winning 13 ground duels and 1 aerial duel, the Arsenal captain also chipped in with one interception.

Crucially, despite the opposition players chipping in with a few crucial tackles, Odegaard seemed to have survived the game. Five fouls were called on him.

When might Odegaard next play?

Odegaard is anticipated to feature when Norway takes on Austria in a Nations League match on Monday in Oslo.

Everyone associated with Arsenal will be hoping he emerges from that match unhurt as well, since the Gunners’ next opponent is Tottenham Hotspur.

Arsenal won’t want any more injured midfielders, with Declan Rice out due to suspension and Mikel Merino, a summer signing for Emirates Stadium, suffering an injury.
