Arsenal convinced about signing £170million Premier League duo

If Ivan Toney and Pedro Neto relocate to North London during the summer transfer window, Arsenal is certain they will have the intended effect.

Scouts from the Gunners saw both players in action during last weekend’s Wolverhampton Wanderers vs. Brentford game.

The manager of Arsenal, Mikel Arteta, has reportedly been pursuing Neto and Toney for more than a year, according to transfer source Dean Jones.

Speaking with GIVEMESPORT, Jones asserted that the Gunners increased their pursuit after grabbing a “perfect” opportunity.

Jones believes that Arsenal dispatched scouts to watch Neto and Toney because Arteta was interested in learning how they were doing as Premier League teams prepared for the finish of an exciting season.

When asked if Arsenal had scouted Neto and Toney over the weekend, he told GIVEMESPORT:

“They had the perfect matchup to face those two athletes. Since both of them have been watched closely over the past year, it was an excellent chance to find out just where each athlete is in the standings right now.

Sincerely, I don’t think it’s possible to determine which player is better at this point. Arsenal is fully confident that one or both of them might be successful at the Emirates. Really, there are no questions about that.

Toney is valued at £100 million by Brentford, while Neto may cost up to £70 million. Premier League opponents of Arsenal are pursuing both players. Toney has been linked to Chelsea and Manchester United in the press, while Portuguese winger Neto is being pursued by Manchester City, Tottenham, and Liverpool.

Both players have long been admired by Arsenal. Toney was not available for signing by the Gunners in January due to their Financial Fair Play policy.

Arteta is hoping to eventually unseat Manchester City’s Premier League domination by bringing in a quality attacker. Arteta wants a striker for his team.
