Arsenal now determined to sign “insane” winger they believe is perfect fit for Arteta

Arsenal is allegedly keen to buy a young winger they feel is ideal for Mikel Arteta’s system, having strengthened elsewhere during the summer transfer season.

News about Arsenal transfers

The summer saw Arsenal prioritize bringing in Riccardo Calafiori, then adding shock value by bringing in Raheem Sterling on loan from Chelsea and adding Mikel Merino as midfield depth to cover for Declan Rice. With Arteta back in his corner, Sterling will look to regain his peak and, in turn, give Gabriel Martinelli enough to consider on the right side.

With Sterling, Martinelli, and, of course, Leandro Trossard available to him down the left side of the Gunners, Arteta is now spoiled for choice as the games come in thick and fast. On the other side, however, Bukayo Saka is left to hold down the fort, which might swiftly overwork the winger and ultimately ruin Arsenal’s season.

Based on current transfer rumors, it appears that people in North London are aware of this issue well in advance of 2025. Spain’s reports claim that Arsenal is now committed to signing Yeremy Pino, believing the Villarreal winger to be the ideal match for Arteta’s formation. If Arsenal signed the 21-year-old winger, who can play on both sides, they would have another left-wing option in addition to cover for Saka.

Arsenal’s strategy should be to welcome competition for spots, even from their top players, if they hope to contend for years to come. Undoubtedly, everyone around The Emirates would benefit from a much fresher Saka towards the conclusion of the season, underscoring the significance of Arsenal’s Pino chase in 2025.

Saka and “insane” Pino are rivals.

Pino, who is still only 21 years old, seems certain to make a significant move sooner rather than later, and Arsenal appears to be hoping that move results in a move to North London. If that’s the case, all indications point to a winger who can rival Saka, Arteta’s star player, for years to come and serve as backup.

Pino, who has shown flashes of his potential thus far, will be eager to return to his best form in the upcoming campaign after recovering from an ACL injury last season.

The winger, who Squakwa dubbed “insane” in 2022, is capable of playing at ever-higher levels; all he needs to do now is get back to that form after a challenging injury.

One to watch in 2025, Arteta could finally complete his attacking options by adding Pino, a backup from Saka.
